The Howling Craft Beer and Music Festival on June 1-2, 2018, to feature Annabelle’s Curse, The Judy Chops and Southern Culture on the Skids

Wolf Hills Brewing Co. has announced its Fourth Annual The Howling Craft Beer and Music Festival is set for June 1-2, 2018.
In a special two-night event, on Friday, June 1, The Howling weekend will start with a kickoff party at 5 p.m. at Wolf Hills Brewing Co., 350 Park Street, in Abingdon, Virginia. It will feature special beer offerings, food and a music lineup headlined by one of my favorite bands and a former FloydFest “On the Rise” runner=up Annabelle’s Curse.

The lineup follows:

6-6:45: Iliad
7:15-8:15: The Oblations
8:45-10:15: Annabelle’s Curse
10:30- til: Club Wolf Hills

Pre-sale tickets for Friday are $8 and will increase to $10 on May 25. Brewery tours will be offered at 1:30 on Saturday for $10.

The doors will open for The Howling event at 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 2, at Wolf Hills Brewing Co. The event will include craft beer, two stages with live music, food trucks, craft and outdoor vendors, and live art.

Headlined by Southern Culture on the Skids, The Howling maintains its diverse musical background with sets from southerwestern Virginia favorites If Birds Could Fly, funky Andrew Scotchie and the River Rats from Asheville, swing and blues The Judy Chops, along with four local singer-songwriters.

7:00-7:45: K.T. Vandyke
7:45-8:45: If Birds Could Fly

9:30-11:00: Southern Culture On The Skids

Pre-sale tickets for Saturday are $12 and will increase to $15 on May 25. All-weekend passes are also available.

In addition, on Saturday morning, the Third Annual The Howling 5k on the Virginia Creeper Trail will be held. “Join us at Wye Park just past the Abingdon Trailhead. Signup at 8, race at 9. Pre-signup is $15 and will increase to $20 on May 25. T-shirt included.”

And as a special treat, the brewery will be open from 1-6 p.m. on Sunday, June 3, for Jazz Sunday and Brunch.
