First-ever Basil Hayden’s bourbon-infused cheese launches nationwide

Basil Hayden’s has partnered with Utah-based creamery Beehive Cheese to create a one-of-a-kind Basil Hayden’s Bourbon-infused cheese called, “Pour Me A Slice.”

“Pour Me A Slice,” a news release says, is composed of an artfully aged, semi-firm Jersey cow’s milk infused with Basil Hayden’s Bourbon. It’s sweet to taste with a hint of spice that can be attributed to the bourbon’s trademark spice flavor.

“We’re thrilled to collaborate with Beehive Cheese to create a special addition to their lineup of expertly crafted cheeses,” Rob Mason, vice president of Marketing for Whiskey at Beam Suntory, says in the release. “Basil Hayden’s has always valued creating expressions that are best enjoyed with friends and family, so we think ‘Pour Me A Slice’ is a perfect pairing when sharing our bourbon with friends and family.”

The high-rye profile of Basil Hayden’s gives the cheese its one-of-a-kind flavor that pairs nicely with Basil Hayden’s neat, on the rocks or in a cocktail.
